Pictures of AAH Students

I gave the kids my camera to take pictures of themselves. I think they did a pretty good job. Better than I could do, at any rate, and I tried.

I just wish I could remember all of their names.

Kampala

Pictures from Uganda's lively capital city. There isn't much to say about them that isn't obvious; I hope they give you a sense of what it's like.

With awful roads and lots of cars, traffic can get pretty terrible in Kampala. Motorcycles are a good way of quickly getting where you want to go, and if you've got the stomach, you can hop on a "boda-boda", or motorcycle-taxi, to get where you want to go. Word to the wise: boda-boda drivers don't offer passengers helmuts, seatbelts, or much of anything to keep them safe.

With so many people around, you've really got to be careful about zebras.

Mmmm...chicken.

You see the white chicken that guy is holding? When we finished our hike up to the top of Nusu, I cut its head off with a machete. To celebrate reaching the top, we killed two chickens, started a fire, and ate them. It was good.
